This cleanser promises gentleness and a 'sulfate-free' experience, but its formula includes a strong surfactant and a controversial preservative, making its claims of universal suitability questionable.
Not available in India • Analysed 20 September 2026
This product is not officially available in India, making direct price comparison difficult. If imported, its USD $38 price (approx. ₹3150 for 150ml) would position it as a very high-end cleanser. The 'sulfate-free' claim is problematic given the presence of Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, which many Indian consumers would consider a 'sulfate' in this context. The claim of 'suitable for sensitive skin' would face scrutiny under ASCI guidelines without specific mildness testing, especially with the strong surfactant and the presence of Glutaral, a known sensitizer.

We checked the ingredient list, publicly available test reports, marketing claims, and formula logic using only public information available at the time of review.
Sofie Pavitt Face isn't available on Indian platforms, so a full India-specific review (price parity across Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart, platform claim checks, and the CDSCO / ASCI read) isn't possible. The verdict above is based on the brand's published ingredient list and its global claims.
We'll run the complete Clean Sheet review the day it lands in the Indian market.
