Expert Summary

A SPF 70 PA++++ matte sunscreen using the same next-generation EU-approved UV filter system as the Glow Sunscreen (Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus, Ethylhexyl Triazone) but with Silica at position 8 for active oil absorption and a matte skin finish. Niacinamide (position 14) adds anti-inflammatory and sebum-regulating benefit. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is an anti-ageing matrikine peptide that inhibits interleukin-6 (inflammatory cytokine) production. Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract provides antioxidant polyphenols. Chrysin is a plant-derived flavonoid (from Passiflora or propolis) with mild tyrosinase-inhibiting properties. D-Panthenol adds barrier support. The higher SPF 70 versus the Glow Sunscreen is achieved via higher UV filter concentrations rather than addition of new filters.

Score breakdown

Ingredient Safety
Strong44/50

Same UV filter system as the Glow SPF 50 — Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus, and Ethylhexyl Triazone — all with excellent safety profiles (see Glow Sunscreen notes).

Same UV filter system as the Glow SPF 50 — Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus, and Ethylhexyl Triazone — all with excellent safety profiles (see Glow Sunscreen notes). No Oxybenzone, no Octinoxate, no Octocrylene. Silica is an inert mineral powder with no known skin concern. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 has a strong safety record and is used at trace concentrations. Chrysin is a naturally occurring flavonoid with no known skin safety concerns at cosmetic concentrations. Triethanolamine is used as a pH adjuster — safe at cosmetic concentrations with no nitrosating agents present. Contains Allergen Free Fragrance — synthetic fragrance, not fragrance-free.

Formula Design
Excellent18/20

Multi-filter formula designed for broad-spectrum coverage and photostability.

SPF 70 PA++++ represents a meaningful protection step up from the Glow SPF 50, achieved by higher UV filter loading with the same photostable next-gen filter system. Silica at position 8 (ahead of the UV filters) is a significant oil-absorbing inclusion — inert mineral particles absorb excess sebum and provide a mattifying effect throughout wear. Niacinamide's sebum-regulating action adds a pharmacological dimension to the physical oil control. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 (Rigin) is a published anti-ageing peptide: a 2009 clinical study demonstrated statistically significant wrinkle reduction over 12 weeks. D-Panthenol provides barrier repair benefit alongside UV protection.

Claims Evidence
Excellent19/20

Good evidence for stated claims based on public information.

SPF 70 PA++++ is stated as in-vivo tested, which is the correct standard. 'Zero white cast' is a strong claim that is plausible with Tinosorb M (a micronised particle that blends more evenly than titanium dioxide) but should be verified against individual skin tones. UV filter identities are disclosed. Active concentrations (Niacinamide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Rosemary Extract) are not individually quantified. Allergen Free Fragrance not prominently disclosed on front of pack.

Ethics & Sustainability
Fair5/10

No Oxybenzone or Octinoxate — better marine and reef impact profile.

No Oxybenzone or Octinoxate — better marine and reef impact profile. Cruelty-free, vegan, Indian brand. Rosemary is a sustainably abundant plant extract. Disodium EDTA as chelator rather than a biodegradable alternative. Allergen Free Fragrance present.

🇮🇳

SPF 70 PA++++ provides significantly higher UV protection than SPF 50, important for outdoor activities, high-altitude locations (Himalayan hill stations, flights), and professional environments with prolonged outdoor sun exposure. The silica-based matte finish is especially effective in high-humidity Indian conditions where chemical sunscreens can slide off oily skin. Reapply every 2 hours in direct sun regardless of SPF value.
