An encapsulated retinol night serum at a brand-confirmed 0.15% in an emulsion base. The encapsulation system uses Poloxamer 235, a block copolymer that protects retinol from premature degradation and enables slower, more controlled release into the skin — reducing the irritation typically associated with free retinol. EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate) from green tea provides anti-inflammatory support. Niacinamide at position 19 adds a synergistic anti-ageing mechanism. Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinul A Plus, position 21) — a UV filter — appears in this night product specifically to photostabilise the retinol in the packaging, not as a skin UV filter. BHT and BHA (Butylated Hydroxytoluene and Butylated Hydroxyanisole) are antioxidant stabilisers at trace positions.

Ingredient SafetyStrong42/50Retinol at 0.15% is below the EU guideline concentration for face leave-on products (0.3%) and is appropriate for beginners to retinoids.
Retinol at 0.15% is below the EU guideline concentration for face leave-on products (0.3%) and is appropriate for beginners to retinoids. All retinol products carry a pregnancy contraindication — do not use during pregnancy or when trying to conceive. Encapsulation (Poloxamer 235 delivery system) reduces skin surface irritation by releasing retinol gradually rather than all at once. BHT and BHA at near-final positions are antioxidant stabilisers to prevent retinol degradation in the bottle, not preservatives — both are EU and India permitted at cosmetic trace levels. The presence of Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (a UV filter) is intentional for in-bottle retinol stabilisation; it has an excellent safety profile. Contains Allergen Free Fragrance — synthetic fragrance, not fragrance-free. Dicaprylyl Carbonate and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride provide a lipid vehicle appropriate for a retinol emulsion.

Encapsulated retinol (via Poloxamer 235) is a meaningful formulation advance: the copolymer shell protects retinol from oxidation during storage and releases it progressively on skin contact, producing comparable efficacy results to free retinol with significantly reduced irritation, dryness, and peeling risk. EGCG (green tea polyphenol) at position 13 has published clinical evidence for anti-inflammatory action and may help buffer the retinisation adjustment period. Niacinamide at position 19 adds an independent collagen-supporting and brightening mechanism. Garcinia Indica (Kokum Butter) at position 20 is an Ayurvedic plant lipid with emollient and antioxidant properties. The emulsion base with Dimethicone and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride delivers a smooth, non-greasy application.
Claims EvidenceExcellent18/20Good evidence for stated claims based on public information.
Retinol at 0.15% is brand-confirmed. The encapsulation system using Poloxamer 235 is disclosed, which is above-average transparency for the Indian market. The claim of '2x faster than regular retinol' for encapsulated delivery has been supported in some supplier-commissioned studies but not in independent peer-reviewed head-to-head trials — treat as a marketing claim rather than a verified fact. Pregnancy contraindication is communicated on packaging. No third-party clinical data published for this formula.
Ethics & SustainabilityConcern4/10Cruelty-free, vegan, Indian-founded brand.
Cruelty-free, vegan, Indian-founded brand. No parabens, no SLS. Disodium EDTA rather than a biodegradable chelator. Contains Allergen Free Fragrance. The emulsion base uses Dimethicone (a linear silicone) — low environmental accumulation concern compared to cyclic silicones, but still a synthetic polymer. Coconut-derived MCT oils (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride) are plant-derived.

Retinol at 0.15% via an encapsulated delivery system is appropriate for first-time retinol users, and particularly relevant for Indian skin: darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI) carry higher PIH risk from retinol-induced irritation, so a controlled-release, lower-concentration entry point reduces this risk significantly. Apply at night only. Mandatory SPF 30+ the next morning. India's heat accelerates retinol degradation in open packaging — close immediately after use.
