A leave-on BHA serum with Salicylic Acid at a brand-confirmed 2% (the maximum permitted OTC concentration in India and the EU) and Niacinamide at a brand-confirmed 3%. The formula uses Liposomal Technology for the Salicylic Acid delivery - encapsulating the BHA in phospholipid liposomes that improve skin penetration and reduce surface irritation by releasing the active more gradually. Niacinamide at 3% independently regulates sebum production and reduces the inflammation associated with acne. The combination of a pore-clearing BHA with a sebum-regulating B vitamin targets both the symptom (blocked pores) and the cause (excess oil). Fragrance-free and alcohol-free.

Ingredient SafetyExcellent45/50Clean allergen profile with a fragrance free formula.
Salicylic Acid at 2% is the maximum concentration permitted for leave-on cosmetic use in both EU and India. Liposomal encapsulation reduces surface irritation risk compared to free-form SA at the same concentration - a meaningful safety advantage, particularly for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin attempting BHA for the first time. Niacinamide at 3% is exceptionally well-tolerated. No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no SLES, no alcohol (ethanol). The formula pH is not disclosed - important context for a BHA product, since Salicylic Acid requires an acidic pH to be in its active free-acid form. Photosensitivity increases with BHA use; SPF is recommended.
Formula DesignExcellent18/20Liposomal Salicylic Acid is a meaningful formulation advancement over standard BHA serums.
Liposomal Salicylic Acid is a meaningful formulation advancement over standard BHA serums. The phospholipid liposomes encapsulate SA, improving how effectively it reaches the pore lining while releasing it slowly to reduce surface irritation - a better tolerance profile with equivalent or improved efficacy. Niacinamide at 3% complements the BHA by regulating the sebum overproduction that leads to pore congestion in the first place. Together, the formula addresses both the congestion (BHA) and the root trigger (sebum/Niacinamide). Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate offset BHA-associated drying. The formula pH is not disclosed, which is a notable gap for a BHA product.
Claims EvidenceExcellent18/20Good evidence for stated claims based on public information.
Full ingredient list on thedeconstruct.in. Salicylic Acid at 2% and Niacinamide at 3% are brand-confirmed. The Liposomal Technology claim is made on the product page without independent verification data. Formula pH is not disclosed - this is worth flagging for a leave-on acid product. No unsupported efficacy claims beyond the liposomal delivery mention. Deconstruct publishes ingredient education content across its product range.
Ethics & SustainabilityFair5/10Cruelty-free.
Cruelty-free. Vegan. No synthetic fragrance or dyes. Indian brand. Liposomal encapsulation technology uses phospholipids (typically soy or sunflower-derived). Uses Disodium EDTA rather than a biodegradable alternative. Packaging is minimal and functional.

Oily, acne-prone skin is India's most common skin type, driven by climate, genetics, and dietary patterns. Salicylic Acid's oil-solubility allows it to penetrate sebum-blocked pores directly. The liposomal delivery makes this better-tolerated than standard 2% BHA serums - useful for first-time acid users or those with reactive skin. Use SPF 30+ daily - BHA increases photosensitivity. Follow with a non-comedogenic moisturiser to maintain barrier integrity.
