A barrier-repair moisturiser featuring four ceramides (Ceramide 1, 2, 3, and 6 II) delivered in a skin-identical lipid matrix with cholesterol and fatty acids - this 3:1:1 (ceramide:cholesterol:fatty acid) molar ratio is the physiologically optimal ratio for intercellular lamellar body repair, based on published barrier research by Elias et al. The base is a silicone-heavy emulsion: Cyclopentasiloxane (D5) at position 2 is the dominant secondary ingredient. Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate and Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables (Olivem system) provide olive-derived emollient support. Ceramide-based moisturisers are particularly effective for barrier repair after extended sun exposure, acid exfoliation, or retinol use - all common scenarios for Indian skin care routines. The silicone-dominant vehicle creates an occlusive film that is effective in air-conditioned environments (which strip skin moisture).
