Expert Summary

A multi-acid overnight treatment combining Glycolic Acid at a brand-confirmed 4%, Lactic Acid at a brand-confirmed 3%, Gluconodelta Lactone (PHA), and Mandelic Acid — a total AHA/PHA load where glycolic and lactic are confirmed at 7% combined. The formula includes Sodium Phytate, a plant-derived biodegradable chelating agent (unusual and positive for sustainability). D-Panthenol and Tocopherol provide barrier and antioxidant support to offset acid-associated dryness. Polysorbate 20 and Polyisobutene help disperse and emulsify the oil-phase components. PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate is a non-ionic emulsifier. Contains Allergen Free Fragrance. An accessible entry into overnight acid treatments — concentrations are mild enough for most non-sensitive adults, unlike professional peeling solutions.

Ingredient Safety
Strong42/50

Glycolic Acid at 4% and Lactic Acid at 3% in a leave-on overnight treatment are at the lower-moderate end of the OTC acid range (compare to Minimalist's 32% total AHA peel).

Glycolic Acid at 4% and Lactic Acid at 3% in a leave-on overnight treatment are at the lower-moderate end of the OTC acid range (compare to Minimalist's 32% total AHA peel). At these concentrations, the formula is appropriate for most non-sensitive adults used 2-3 times per week. Gluconodelta Lactone (PHA) is the gentlest exfoliant class and adds antioxidant benefit. Mandelic Acid is a larger-molecule AHA, less deeply penetrating than glycolic, adding surface exfoliation support. Post-application photosensitivity is real: morning SPF is essential the day after use. PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate is a non-ionic emulsifier with a good safety profile. Contains Allergen Free Fragrance — synthetic fragrance in an overnight treatment. Not suitable for sensitive, rosacea-prone, or barrier-compromised skin without patch testing.

The acid blend is thoughtfully designed for beginner-to-intermediate use: Glycolic Acid (smallest AHA molecule, deepest penetration) at 4% addresses pigmentation and texture, Lactic Acid at 3% exfoliates more gently with additional NMF-like hydration, Mandelic Acid provides superficial surface exfoliation, and Gluconodelta Lactone (PHA) contributes the gentlest exfoliation layer while acting as an antioxidant. The four-acid approach at individually modest concentrations creates cumulative efficacy without the aggressive acid load of a professional peel. D-Panthenol offsets acid-associated dryness. Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer creates a mask-texture that adheres and delivers the acids during overnight contact time.

Claims Evidence
Strong17/20

Good evidence for stated claims based on public information.

Glycolic Acid at 4% and Lactic Acid at 3% are brand-confirmed — above-average disclosure for a multi-acid formula. Mandelic Acid and Gluconodelta Lactone concentrations are not individually disclosed. Formula pH is not published, which is material information for any acid product (pH governs the proportion of acid in its free, active form). 'Overnight glow' is a reasonable experiential claim. Allergen Free Fragrance is not prominently flagged. No third-party clinical data published.

Ethics & Sustainability
Fair5/10

Cruelty-free, vegan, Indian brand.

Cruelty-free, vegan, Indian brand. Sodium Phytate is used as a chelating agent — this is plant-derived and biodegradable, a better environmental choice than Disodium EDTA used in other Foxtale products. Octyldodecanol and Octyldodecyl Xyloside are fatty alcohol-derived emollients from plant sources. Allergen Free Fragrance.

🇮🇳

Glycolic and Lactic Acid used overnight are significantly more effective in India's dry-to-moderate humidity winter months when the skin barrier is stronger. During monsoon season, the skin barrier is often already compromised by humidity fluctuation — reduce frequency to once weekly in such conditions. Post-acid SPF is not optional in India; UVA exposure without protection reverses brightening progress and increases PIH risk, particularly for Fitzpatrick IV-VI skin.
